NCJGA 2008 U.S. Open Exhibition
|
Has your Junior Golfer ever wanted to get up close and personal with some of the greatest golfers in the world? Now you can -- right here in North County. On Monday, June 9th, North County Junior Golf Association and our sponsors are proud to bring you a Major Event for Junior Golfers at the Carlsbad Golf Center located at 2711 Haymar Drive. One Major Deserves AnotherIn 2008, San Diego hosts its first major PGA tournament -- the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. So, NCJGA decided to start the week with a major event of our own. Top PGA tour players (and major winners), Mike Weir and Retief Goosen, join legendary instructor, Jim Flick, for an exhibition of golf skills tailored to local junior golfers.
Currently, attendance is limited to the first 200 Junior Golfers. Register online or buy a ticket at the Carlsbad Golf Center. Don't miss out on this "once-in-a-lifetime" chance for your kids to interact and learn from the best.
For the ParentsThis event is for Junior Golfers. However, the parents should have some fun as well. So, parents will be allowed to observe from the waiting area. For their enjoyment, Victor Garcia, father of PGA golfer, Sergio Garcia, will be interviewed by local APGA instructor, Bill Picca, on the joy and challenges of raising a world-class golfer.
